"Dear Mom,
now I want to tell you the truth about my suffering in life. Maybe you do not know it but since many months I feel broken inside. I did not see a way out of my pain, it was the only solution. So I want you to understand my feelings. Let me explain:
You know I got a new computer seven month ago. At first it was all right but then it began. My school mates started to bully me via internet. The beginning was like a joke by a few persons. It was easy to ignore. However, after a short time it was impossible to stand it because this was an unbelievable pressure, which jails my feelings. In this seven month a big part of school started to bully me. But I do not understand why they took me. They had no reasons to do it, I believe they only wanted a victim. So I isolated myself of my surroundings after a short time. Now I had no friends. With it you forced me to go school and everyday it was getting worse but you do not recognize my emotions.
Therefore I do not want to suffer anymore. Coincidentally I found your sleeping pills. Now I will never permit again. So the opportunity was perfekt during your absence because you were by your friend's party.
My last words are: Sorry. Sorry for the pain you will get when I am away. You have to know I love you and do not blame you because you always did the best for me. When you read this I am up in heaven standing at daddy's side and looking down to you, protect you for the rest of your life.
Love, Jason."
Next day in the newspaper:
A sixteen year old boy commited suicide. The next tragical case of cyberbullying. The school mates protested after the death of the boy it was only a joke. A very bad joke. Furthermore they said this was just a bet. Maybe they did not regocnized that it could have bad consequences on young people. And now one more adolescent died because of a silly wager. Hopefully the death of the boy will open the eyes of the other bullies.
An Anti-Cyberbullying Flyer
We made a flyer for our blog. There you can see a few statements and pictures to the topic of cyberbullying. We hope you find it attractive.
A Cyberbullying Suicide Story
We want to show you a moving video, which clarifies the consequences of cyberbullying.
It shows a father of a deceased son. The name of his son was Ryan Halligan, a victim of cyberbullying. He commited suicide at the age of 13 after being cyberbullied.
Stop hate, humiliation, threatenings, rumors, etc. STOP CYBERBULLYING.
Don't be a bully, don't be a murderer...
21st Century Bullies
Here you can see a picture with the topic cybermobbing.
We want to interpret it here.
At the top theres a scripture "21st Century Bullies". Probably the setting is a room of a teenager. In the middle there is an afraid boy, who wears glasses and braces. The boy is thin and seems to be weak. He is in front of a computer and holds a mobile phone in his right hand. Furthermore theres a violent fist coming out of the mobile phone and a bully seems to be get out of his laptop, so the adolescent tries to defend himself.
However the figures, that come out of the technology are just fictional, but the boy is a real one.
So we think the two fictional men stands for the changing from bullying to cyberbullying because it is a mixing of it to clarify the topic. But the picture has an other side. Cybermobbing is characterized by emotional not by physical pain. Here the physical pain the boy gets stands for the emotional in real life. Furthermore it could also show, that cybermobbing spawns pain, referring to the hits of the men. But the difference between the real thin boy and the violent fictional men shows cybermobbing still hits the people, who are weaker than other. So it stress the psychical hurt which is often disregarded. The scripture, that is standing in the up, gives a tip for the changing, too. Today we have the 21st century. And now we have cybermobbing, which is kind of worse because the victims have no place where they can hide. The bullies can reach them into their houses and threat the people there. This situation can you see in the cartoon, too, because the bullies are in the room of the young man and harass him only there.
So you can see the victims are mercilessly exposed to the perpetrators and they often cannot get help because they are seperate from their surroundings.
